The All Progressives Congress (APC) Youths League in Ogun , has urged eligible voters in the coming general election to use their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) to reject falsehood, deception and vote credibility.
Mr Yunus Fayomi, the Coordinator of the group, stated this in Abeokuta on Sunday.
Fayomi noted that falsehood and deception had left Ogun state polity over three years ago.
The coordinator opined that this period remained the best time to reward a government that had ensured even distribution of developmental projects in the state.
The APC youths leader said they were able to distinguish between emperor and leader, hence, their support for Gov. Dapo Abiodun’s reelection.
” The declaration of the Former Governor Ibikunle Amosun to support African Democratic Congress (ADC) candidate would not stop the reelection of Gov. Abiodun.
” Unlike previous administration that concentrated projects in just three local government areas, There is no part of the state that has not witnessed government’s presence in the last three years despite paucity of funds,” he said.
Fayomi urged the youths to embrace the Presidential candidate of APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, saying he meant well for the youths, especially through Human Capacity development which is critical to the youth’s liberty.
He stated that Abiodun’s second coming as Governor till 2027 would be another opportunity for us (Youths) to further breathe fresh air and have continuous peace in the state.
” Other APC candidates have given us their words of assurances to always put us first on their scale of preference.
“We have been able to distinguish between an emperor and a leader, hence the need for us to jointly work together to ensure that the antics of the hypocrite do not see the light of the day.
” In Ogun today, 50 per cent of political appointees are youths. The Governor believes in making us leaders from today. This is unprecedented. What we had in the past was the use of youth as “political thugs at events”.
” If no other thing qualifies him, his concept of continuing projects of his predecessor does.
” He would always emphasise that he would not abandon projects that are of economic benefits to the people. This is apolitical and cannot come from no less an “Omoluwabi”.
