The police on Friday, arraigned Musician,
Panshak Zamani, popularly known as Ice Prince, in an Ajah Magistrate’ Court, Lagos, for allegedly assaulting a police officer on duty.

Ice Prince was arraigned before Magistrate T. F. Oyeniyi on a three count charge bordering on alleged assault, obstruction, and abduction.

The defendant however, pleaded not guilty.

Subsequently, the court granted him bail in the sum of N500,000 with two liable sureties.

The Magistrate ordered that the ‘Oleku Crooner’ be remanded at the Nigerian Correctional Centre, in Ikoyi pending when he perfects his bail conditions.

uncovered reports that if found guilty, the defendant is liable to imprisonment for three years, an offence punishable under section 356 of the Criminal Code of Nigeria

The magistrate adjourned the case untill September 7, for mention.

Earlier, the Lagos State Police Command Spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin had disclosed the arrest of Ice Prince via his verified twitter handle.

The PRO said that the musician was arrested at Lekki for allegedly driving his car without a number plate.

According to him, Ice Prince allegedly abducted the police officer in his car, assaulted him, and threatened to throw him into the lagoon.
